About the Martinez

Sweeter and rounder than a Dry Martini, the Martinez balances gin and sweet red vermouth equally, with a barspoon of maraschino and two dashes of orange bitters for lift.

Background

The Martinez is widely regarded as the direct precursor to the Martini, and several different versions of the original exist.
