Affiliate disclosure
Thirsty for Knowledge is free to use. Some links on the site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy something after following them. It costs you nothing extra.
Amazon
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Thirsty for Knowledge is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.co.uk.
On our equipment pages and recipes, Amazon links are clearly labelled ('Search Amazon.co.uk' or 'View on Amazon.co.uk'). Most of them open an Amazon search for that type of item, so you can compare options yourself. We don't show Amazon prices, star ratings or product photos, because they change and we can't keep them accurate. Please check them on Amazon before you buy.
Banner ads
Some pages also carry banner ads from 5od, a small ad service run by the owner of this site. They’re for shops and brands in the Awin affiliate network, and they’re chosen to suit the page, not you. Each one is labelled “Ad”. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission. Ads only load if you accept ads cookies; see how ads and cookies work here.
What this doesn't change
Recipes, techniques and recommendations are based on our research and the sources we cite, not on commissions. We don't accept payment for coverage.
How links work
Links to other websites pass through a short redirect on our site (/go/…) so that we can keep them up to date in one place. Affiliate links are marked 'sponsored' for search engines.
