About the Singapore Sling

A long, fruity gin drink with a lot going on: cherry, herbal Bénédictine, orange liqueur and plenty of pineapple juice, balanced by lime and bitters.

Background

It was reputedly developed in 1915 by Ngiam Tong Boon, a bartender at the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel, Singapore, and was initially called the gin sling.
