About the Shandy

Half beer, half lemonade gives a lighter, sweeter drink with a lower alcohol content than a pint of beer. Pour the beer first, then the lemonade, so the head doesn't overflow.

Background

In the UK shandies are usually ordered as a 'bitter shandy' (equal parts bitter and lemonade) or a 'lager shandy'. The German Radler is a similar mix of beer and a lemon soft drink.
