Makes 1 drink · about 3 min to make

Ingredients

  • Coffee medium ground (one heaped AeroPress scoop, 16–18 g) 17 g
  • Water at 85°C, up to the 4 mark

Method

  1. Heat the water to 85°C.
  2. Put a paper filter in the cap and twist it onto the chamber. Stand the chamber on a sturdy mug.
  3. Add the coffee, shake to level it and pour water up to the 4 mark.
  4. Stir gently for about 3 seconds. Insert the plunger about 1 cm and pull it up slightly to create a vacuum that stops dripping. Wait 60 seconds.
  5. Press down with gentle, steady pressure until you hear a hiss.
  6. Remove the cap and push out the coffee 'puck' over a bin.
