About the Mulled Wine

Our house recipe for a batch. Warm it gently and never let it boil, which drives off aroma and makes the spices bitter. Taste and adjust the sugar at the end.

Background

Mulled wine is usually made with red wine and mulling spices and served hot or warm. It is a traditional winter drink, especially around Christmas, and is served at Christmas markets in Europe.
