Champagne Cocktail

Ingredients

  • Champagne chilled90 ml
  • Cognac10 ml
  • Angostura bitters2 dashes
  • Grand Marnier (optional)a few drops
  • Sugar1 cube

Garnish: Orange zest and a maraschino cherry

Method

  1. Place the sugar cube in a large Champagne glass and soak it with the bitters.
  2. Add the cognac (and a few drops of Grand Marnier, if using).
  3. Gently pour in the chilled Champagne.
  4. Garnish with orange zest and a maraschino cherry.
